Alexandra has a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication at the UCAB and she´s graduated from the National Film & TV School (NFTS) from England, receiving a degree of Direction of Photography. In 1997, she participated in an advanced course of Film Scripts from the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, in Valencia (Spain). Currently she works as a Director and a Director of Photography in fictional, documentary and advertising productions. As a script writer and director, she has accomplished four short films: “Bellas, buenos y democráticos”; “Contrato de m…”, “Cunaro”, which won eight international awards; and “La Uva”, which won three awards at the Caracas CHORTS Festival 2009 and was a finalist of the AXN Film Festival 2010. Her work as a director of photography has been recognized by the Manuel Trujillo Durán Festival 2004 for “900 Pánico”; she won the Premio Municipal de Caracas 2008 for “Puras joyitas” and in 2005 for “El chancecito”. The Mérida Festival gave her a statuette for work at “El rumor de las piedras” in 2011.

2012 saw the premiere of the two most recent feature films in which she has worked, “Er relajo der loro”, from John Petrizzelli and “Azul rosa y no tan rosa” from Miguel Ferrari.
